Spring 2008 undergraduate degree candidates receive
up to 6 guest tickets to their Sunday Commencement
ceremony when they purchase the cap and gown at
the University Bookstore. Undergraduates must have
an active Application for Undergraduate Degree on
file and submit the Undergraduate
Commencement RSVP form by the term's deadline
in order to be eligible to purchase the cap and
gown. The Deadline for the Undergraduate Spring
Commencement RSVP is Friday, April 11, 2008. Graduate
students attending the Spring ceremony do not need
tickets.
Additional
Tickets
The Undergraduate
Commencement RSVP form provides the opportunity
for undergraduate degree candidates to request additional
tickets. Candidates that submit the RSVP form with
a request for more tickets will be notified by e-mail
from the Commencement Office regarding the status
of their request. The Commencement Office may
approve, deny, or request additional information
regarding the ticket request; there also may be
cases where only some of the additional tickets
will be approved. Those with approved requests
will be informed when they may pick up their tickets.
Students will need to provide a photo ID when they
are picking up tickets. Students that submitted
a request for additional tickets with the Fall Commencement
RSVP will be notified by e-mail regarding the status
of their request no later than Monday, April 28,
2008.
Special
Seating Tickets
The Special Seating area is available
to guests that have mobility concerns. Guests with
passes to this area may receive a wheelchair escort
to and from the ground level of the Events Center.
This area is also designed to accommodate guests
that will arrive in their own wheelchairs.
Students may exchange up to 2 of their
standard guest tickets for passes to the Special
Seating area; this allows for the guest to have
a companion during the ceremony. If a student would
like this accommodation, they will need to submit
the Parking and Seating
Accommodation Request form to the Registrar's
Office. Requests for the Spring 2008 Commencement
should be submitted to the Registrar's Office prior
to May 5, 2008.
